About Beth

Sitting at a coffee shop one afternoon I overheard two women discussing their workplace. It was the usual workplace gossip and edgy comments towards management. One of them caught my eye and nodded looking for a little recognition toward her gripe. I smiled and shrugged. At one point in my life I could have agreed. I was in that office job doing my 9-5. Today, I love my job. I get to bring smiles and tears to people I barely know but who end up being family when it's over.

Question for you - Have you ever been somewhere and saw an image that just took your breath away? You could have been in a museum, or looking online, or saw the news. Well, I get that feeling the moment I press down the shutter. The instant that I take a portrait, I know, I just know when it's "the one".  A few of my clients have actually witnessed a happy dance when "the one" was captured.

I am one of the rarest people in the world who loves my job. Granted my boss (i.e. - Me) doesn't let me have much time off, I still love what I do. I live for the moments of meeting new friends. To figure out how to capture the real them in just a blink of an eye. It's challenging and rewarding and I wouldn't choose to do anything else.
